CVE-1999-1174 describes a physical bypass vulnerability in the Iomega ZIP-100 drive. An attacker with physical access can circumvent password protection by swapping a known, password-protected disk for a target disk after the drive powers down, then using the known password to access the target. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 4.6) has a local attack vector and low attack complexity, potentially leading to compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
